Why A Post on Real Estate Memes?

Well, I was curious to see exactly which real estate memes were most prevalent. I also get to show YOU these nifty things:

I was inspired to write this post based on my experience with Inbound Real Estate Marketing’s Pinterest account.

You see, I have 63 boards, 703 pins, and ONE pin accounts for 80% of all my Pinterest impressions. It is NOT part of my TOP 50 REAL ESTATE MEMES LIST. If your curious I am going to ask you to subscribe to my website. I promise you this post has 50 completely original memes to enjoy and you can browse all of them registration free.

How I Ranked Real Estate Memes

Ranking memes are clearly going to be subjective. Real estate is a very defined niche, so only most contributions only came from a handful of websites. Here they are in no particular order:

Wherever possible, I used social shares and comments to gauge popularity. I also frequently ran across the same memes on different sites, so I also took into account repetition and overall shares.

I’m going to arrange these memes into five groups of ten. I will arrange each group of 10 showcasing examples of how you might use these on your blog or social channels.

Real Estate Meme Marketing Tip Number One: Use humor to describe your daily activities. Stories using memes are relatively widespread, as many of these memes were used that way originally.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REALTOR

11:10 am – My clients, a husband, and wife, arrive late and flustered.

[1] Real Estate Meme - Keep calm and let's find you a new home?

11:20 am – My clients are agitated and question my qualifications. I put on my game face.

[2] Real Estate Meme - I WILL find you the perfect house

11:30 am – We’ve looked at the first property, and I ask the client if they have arranged financing.

[3] Real Estate Meme – Pre-Koalify

12:30 pm – We are still parked out in front of the second home. There is a lack of clarity about whether financing was arranged.

[4] Real Estate meme – I am NOT a Marriage Counselor!

12:45 pm – STILL out in front of the second house and, feeling brave, I volunteer an opinion.

[5] Real Estate Meme – It’s Better to be Pre-Koalified, er Qualified

1:00 pm – Three calls, two arguments, and one email later my now pre-qualified clients and I get out of the car. Only then do we notice the following sign in the yard:

[6] Real Estate Meme – Not Haunted. Really.

1:45 pm – We have now safely established the house is not haunted. The client indicates they would like to make an offer on the property.

[7] Real Estate Meme – I Prepare to Negotiate a Real Estate Contract

7:45 pm – As my job as a professional real estate agent requires, I request disclosures.

[8] Real Estate Meme – Waiting on Disclosures

Real Estate Meme Tips

1. Don’t underestimate the power of humor.

It can be easy to think real estate memes are just fluff that will never generate leads. In a way, that’s probably true. Nobody will trust you to find them a home based on your ability to source great memes.

You may have heard of the three E’s of marketing: Educate, Entertain, and Engage.

Entertainment and amusement plays a strong role in follower/subscriber retention. It’s the dessert of your content marketing. It’s the fun uncle of your lead generation strategy.

This very article drives the second-most traffic of our entire blog. Our other meme articles also generate strong traffic.

The great thing is this kind of content marketing is also simple and entertaining to create.

Believe it or not, the very basic meme above gets seen by 3000 people every month on Pintrest. Of those 3000, about 100 will click for a closer look at our content.

That’s not bad for an image that took 30 seconds to upload to our Pintrest account.

2. CTA Memes

While memes are primarily entertainment, you can still leverage them to possibly drive leads. I would be a bit careful here.

It would probably be a mistake to make every meme caption an overt “Buy Now” Call-To-Action. That said, a soft and funny nudge after a meme like the one below could be perfectly appropriate.

3. Be trendy.

In other words, be timely. Lists of great real estate memes like this one contain content for basically every kind of market. Even so, there’s nothing wrong with reposting trendy content you saw on someone else’s page. Just cite your source.

Check out this nice example below.

4. Avoid controversy.

That means no memes with presidents on them. The same goes for any hot button issue. Obviously they can polarize your prospect pool unnecessarily.

For example, you may be aware that Kanye West praised Hitler toward the end of 2022. That would make the meme below inappropriate.

Finding Real Estate Memes

We’ll point you to the best Instagram accounts and Facebook pages. But there are also some great rocks to peek under if you want to find the deeper cuts.

Best Instagram Accounts

Here are our favorite Instagram accounts. They feature content that’s actually relevant and funny. By the way, most real estate meme accounts on Instagram haven’t posted in years. If you love memes, that might spell opportunity for you.

The simplest way to see all new real estate memes is to follow #realestatememes on IG.

I chose the three accounts above because they are the only accounts actively posting at the time of writing (early 2023).

Here are some more accounts you can mine for old content. Some of them have hundreds of real estate agent memes.
